Role Purpose:

Work in accordance with Automotive Standards IATF16949 / ISO9001 and apply/achieve customer specifics to maintain quality objectives and deploy continuous improvement opportunities. Ensure all internal Quality requirements are adhered to and met.

Main Duties / Scope



Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in each product's functionality. Facilitate problem solving activities related to customer concerns, customer rejects and warranty returns. Drive daily problem-solving activity through 8D methodology and ensure poke yokes / quality gates are implemented where feasible. Customer / supplier representation Issue quality alerts and train team members on detection. Train inspectors and production team members to understand customer quality requirements. Analyse daily quality performance data and report top issues to manufacturing. Drive PPM and scrap reductions through problem solving methodology. Following procedures for all IATF16949 / ISO9001 and SC/CC requirements. Drive containment activity after customer/ supplier concern. Assist all departments with their continuous improvement activities. Ensure incoming and outgoing inspection plans are being followed and are understood. Conducts internal audits as assigned. NPI and Project Quality - actively able to lead and support PPAP requirements. Taking part of NPI team for ne and ongoing product implementation on site. PPAP - ongoing control documentation review, MSA and studies to support conformity and requirements.

Other duties include



Assist with projects. Promote teamwork and support team improvement committees and activities. Identify and propose cost reduction/avoidance ideas, and productivity, efficiency and quality improvements. Maintain continuous improvement of the department and the services delivered to the customer. Support all efforts to ensure that ISO/IATF16949 requirements are met and maintained. Support all efforts to ensure compliance with the environmental policy and procedures.

Person Specification and Required Skills




The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, verbal and written and feel comfortable interacting with colleagues, customer, supplier and other visitors at all levels within the business.


Candidates must have a proactive, investigative, problem solving and hands on approach to tasks; through high levels of analytical capability, you should be capable of working to your own initiatives, and competent in satisfying demanding deadlines whilst remaining customer focused.

Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in the Automotive industry ISO/ IATF16949 knowledge, IATF Internal Auditor preferable. Experience of managing people at either team leader or supervisory level Strong problem-solving skills Background Quality/Manufacturing environment Automotive Engineering, preferable plastics experience Good level of Interpersonal Skills being able to communicate at all levels within the organisation * Experience of working with 1st / 2nd tier customers/ suppliers
