Job Description

We're AluK, a global leader in the design and engineering of aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems and, with over 60 years of experience operating across the globe, you'll find our facade systems on many of the world's most advanced and prestigious buildings.

We now have an opportunity to join as Quality Engineeras part of our established Quality Team Team. You will be responsible for robust root-cause analysis and effective corrective actions for all internal rejects and ISO 9001 audit programmes.

What are we looking for?

Lead structured investigations (5 Whys, fishbone, 8D) on rejects from mill, paint-line and assembly. Conduct investigations for customer-return issues and define containment. Issue re-work instructions or concessions and verify effectiveness. Gather objective evidence (photos, data, defect samples) and raise formal NCRs to suppliers. Track supplier response and closure status; escalate repeat issues. Create the annual ISO 9001 / Qualicoat internal audit calendar; brief auditees, run audits, write reports, and follow up actions. Present audit performance to the Quality Manager each month. Empowered to halt paint-line or assembly, quarantine incoming batches, and approve re-work routes when specifications may be compromised. Collate daily scrap, reject and customer-return metrics; highlight adverse trends to the Quality Manager and Production leads. Maintain and periodically refresh templates, check-sheets and guides for 5 Whys, 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans; coach Quality Inspectors and Supervisors in their use. Work with Technical, R&D to approve initial samples vs specifications and drawings

Experience within a manufacturing environment in a quality role Experience in ISO 9001 and Qualicoat Ability to build, maintain and influence collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent communication skills - verbal and written Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Excellent data analysis Previous audit experience
