We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our Modular Solutions Division, based at our site in Sherburn, Malton.
Severfield Modular Solutions offers a market-leading suite of products, including an expanding range of modular products to cater to diverse needs, including 'Severstor' units (robust, steel-framed modules that house critical systems equipment such as electrical switchgear) and 'Rotoflo' technology (a well-established high-efficient and controlled discharge system representing a major advance in materials handling technology).
From its facility in Sherburn, it also provides a one-stop shop for steel products and processing service using our extensive range of equipment and allows us to address smaller scale projects. They continue to set the

Vacancy Details
In the Quality Engineer position you will liaise with the Welding Inspectors, NDE Contractors and other Sub-contractors as required, to ensure all project inspections and technical requirements have been met. You will assure that all relevant information is entered accurately onto the computer database and all relevant documentation is available for compilation of Lifetime Quality Records and assist with QC duties as required.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Prepare ITP's and Quality plans.
Preparation and maintenance of drawing dossiers and final certification packages.
Carry out surveillance and inspections in accordance with the project quality plan.
Compilation of LTR's.
Internal and supplier audits.
Specification reviews.
Liaison with client's representatives.
Represent the company at Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.'s).
Presentation of inspection activities at both fabrication review meetings and meetings held with the client.
Ensuing full compliance to the project quality system.
Entry of inspection data onto computer database, ensuring data is up to date and accurate.
Ensuring all relevant inspections and NDE have been carried out and relevant material certification is signed and collated into QC packs.
Key Skills & experience
Experience of working on large, complex, multi-disciplined projects within a strictly regulated environment
Regulatory compliance
Thorough understanding of current health, safety and environmental legislation, approved codes of practice and relevant standards
Understanding of Quality Management systems & principles
Experience in highly-regulated industries
HND, HNC or equivalent (NVQ 4) in Engineering and/or construction. (Lower qualifications may be considered if supported by relevant experience and references)
