We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, as well as the ability to analyse data and implement effective solutions to enhance product quality.
Responsibilities
Ensure company maintains compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
Lead BSI audits and conduct internal audits in accordance with our audit schedule.
Support supplier quality efforts by working with Purchasing to conduct supplier audits.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities for internal and external quality issues.
Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to create and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
Provide guidance to other BAMUK UK companies on quality-related matters and shared best practices.
Lead and assist the Quality Inspector with PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and customer quality requirements.
Ensure process stability during New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

Timely closure of NCRs and CAPAs

Process stability on existing & NPI Products
Skills & Prior Experience (Qualifications)
Minimum 3 years' experience in quality engineering, ideally within a
metal manufacturing
environment
Strong working knowledge of
ISO 9001
systems
Internal or lead auditor training preferred
Good communication skills
Comfortable with engineering drawings and GD&T
Experience with quality tools: 8D, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, FMEA
Ability to work across teams and communicate clearly with production, Engineering, suppliers, and customers
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Six Sigma or Lean certification desirable but not essential
