As a Quality Engineer, based at our St Neots or Wakefield facility, you will have a prime, largely autonomous part to play in ensuring that we only provide the very best to our customers and colleagues.


Duties and responsibilities will include:

Building, developing and sharing knowledge of quality processes for and across the company both in the UK and the Europe North area. Working with Engineering teams on high value projects, making sure that processes are appropriately and consistently followed and support production by review of FMEAs , Inspection and test plans and Work Instructions Carrying out incoming or final inspections as necessary prior to delivery to customer. Working with Purchasing to manage suppliers and specifically quality related issues to identify and minimise obstacles to achieving business excellence. Monitoring and reporting on KPIs, developing and producing business information reports. Working with suppliers as necessary to manage improvement actions. Acting as a Key SAP user to support and provide SAP training to associates Conducting customer claim investigation and root cause analysis using various quality tools Review and collation of material and test certification in order to manage customer doc packs Manage inspection and test equipment system in order to ensure proper calibration, handling and storage of measuring equipment.

Qualifications

Essential:



Minimum HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Certified auditor

Previous experience of working in a similar industry

Excellent written and spoken English

Competent in using problem solving tools, eg 8D, 5why, Ishikawa



Desirable:



Conversant in SAP

Previous experience of working with hydraulics
