Quality Engineer
who shares our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role within our quality team, responsible for managing product and process quality throughout the production cycle. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve quality issues, lead inspections, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve
customer quality concerns
, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Manage
supplier and subcontractor quality
, ensuring incoming materials and outsourced processes meet specification
Conduct
dimensional inspections
of fabricated parts and assemblies using a range of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers etc.)
Develop and maintain
quality procedures
, inspection records, and documentation in line with company standards
Support and lead
continuous improvement
efforts using tools such as 5 Whys and 8D
Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
Collaborate across production, engineering, and procurement functions to embed quality at every stage
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
Understanding of
fabrication processes
,
welding
, and
machining
Familiarity with
quality management systems
, inspection techniques, and basic problem-solving tools
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in a
steel fabrication
or
metalworking
environment
Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings
and GD&T
Experience with
SolidWorks
or similar CAD tools
Understanding of
subcontractor quality control
, including supplier audits and external process validation
Job Types: Full-time, Graduate
Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
