They are now seeking a

Quality Engineer

to join their talented team and act as the key liaison between the organisation and its customers on all product quality matters.



About the Role



The Quality Engineer serves as the

primary liaison with customers on product quality matters

, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement through effective quality engineering and manufacturing practices. The role reports to the

Quality & EHS Manager

.



Key Responsibilities





Customer Liaison & Corrective Action:

Address customer requirements through timely and effective corrective and preventive actions; complete related reports within customer deadlines (performance tracked via customer report cards and internal KPIs).

Quality Management System:

Support the upkeep of the Quality Management System and quality documentation to maintain certifications and positive outcomes from customer/external audits.

Training & Continuous Improvement:

Deliver/facilitate ongoing education and training across the site on OP-EX and quality improvement tools

Complaint & Reject Management:

Assist in reviewing/closing quality complaints and internal rejects, ensuring appropriate containment and preventive actions are implemented.

Performance & Prioritisation:

Align actions with departmental and corporate objectives; support effectiveness of tracking centres at cell and departmental levels.

Communication & Reporting:

Communicate status and progress of complaints to the Departmental Manager and wider facility via reports, verbal updates, and visual displays; help develop clear communication tools to share successes.

Audit & Compliance Support:

Support process/product audits, inspection planning, and compliance with customer requirements; assist with documentation, reporting, and preparation for customer and third-party audits.




Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work with affiliates and internal engineering, production, sales, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement robust solutions.

Essential:





Degree or equivalent qualification

in a relevant engineering discipline. Auditor qualification (preferred but not essential) and knowledge of VDA standards.

Minimum 5 years'

experience in a manufacturing quality role, ideally within the automotive or aerospace sector. Proficient in core quality tools and continuous improvement techniques.

Strong understanding

of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related quality management systems. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Confident problem-solver

with strong analytical and organisational abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
