Tritech Group are manufacturing experts and suppliers of precision products to global Aerospace & Defence industry giants and to support our rapid growth we are recruiting for a range of positions across our UK facilities

We are seeking a

Quality Engineer

to lead quality assurance functions across our Foundry and Machine Shop operations at Tritech Group UK. This critical role ensures compliance with all applicable standards (AS9100, AS9102), drives continual improvement, and oversees internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering/manufacturing environments, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering, with a strong understanding of metallurgical processes and casting operations.

Excellent interpersonal skills together with effective communication skills are an essential part of the role. The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

Key Responsibilities:



Maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems across Foundry and Machine Shop functions.

Conduct and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102.

Manage non-conformance investigations and implement effective root cause and corrective actions (RCCA).

Support and drive continual improvement initiatives including KPI tracking, audit readiness, and supplier quality performance.

Conduct internal audits and support customer audits.

Represent the quality department during external audits and key customer meetings.

Provide leadership and mentoring to junior quality engineers and technicians.

Act as a key liaison with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure cross-functional alignment on quality issues and improvement projects.

Oversee documentation and procedural control for QMS updates, work instructions, and quality records.

Lead quality investigations and host weekly Quality Review Clinics for cross-departmental problem solving.

Qualifications



Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Mechanical, or Technical discipline desired but not essential

Auditor qualified to AS9100 (preferred) or ISO 9001 with aerospace/manufacturing sector experience

Significant quality experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment with a bias towards mechanical or aerospace sectors.

In-depth knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and contractual quality flowdowns.

Practical exposure to root cause analysis, mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience



Significant relevant Quality experience gained within an Engineering environment, with a bias towards Mechanical Engineering.

Full understanding of Quality requirements and contractual flow downs

Extensive knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and can demonstrate expertise in Aerospace systems, products and procedures.

Package



Salary: Negotiable DOE

Pension: 5% min personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%

Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH

Life Insurance: 2 x annual salary Death in Service

Pay: 30,000.00-45,000.00 per year
