Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves working closely with various departments to implement quality assurance processes and improve product reliability. The Quality Engineer will undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards (e.g.AS9100). Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances. Perform internal and external audits. Review engineering specifications and manufacturing processes for quality compliance. Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues. Monitor and report on key quality metrics and trends. Support customer and regulatory audits and inspections. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like 8D, FMEA.

Skills and Experience

Certification in Lean Six Sigma or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer). Experience with aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. Familiarity with tools like Minitab, ERP, QMS systems. Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements. Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, PPAP, CAPA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
