Job description
Position Overview
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the assigned site. This role partners with all applicable site functions to identify and implement process improvements, reduce waste, and ensure customer requirements are consistently met. The position plays a key role in aligning site quality initiatives with business objectives, managing quality planning systems, and driving continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with all site functions to identify, prioritize, and execute process improvement initiatives.
Implement and monitor actions to ensure the effectiveness of the QMS in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
Develop, deploy, and maintain quality planning systems, including control plans and related documentation.
Align site budgets, personnel, and continuous improvement projects with strategic quality and business goals.
Review and approve corrective actions submitted by team members to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
Conduct analytical reviews of QMS data.
Evaluate cost structures and production capabilities to ensure the site consistently meets or exceeds customer requirements.
Provide leadership and direction to quality teams, fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or quality-driven environment.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100 or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organisation.
