Role Summary
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all ceramic products meet the company's rigorous quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement within the quality management system.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of ceramic components at various stages of production.
Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM, optical equipment, etc.) to verify product conformity.
Operate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment to perform complex inspections.
Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection plans to ensure accurate assessments.
Record and maintain inspection results in accordance with internal documentation and ISO standards.
Identify, report, and document non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in line with company quality objectives.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in a quality inspection role, preferably within ceramics, aerospace, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing.
Strong CMM experience (operation and ideally programming) - essential.
Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and use of metrology equipment.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
Good IT skills for data entry and use of inspection software.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
Desirable
Experience with ceramic materials or high-precision components.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
