We manufacture high precision mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies for various high technology applications. Including Scientific Instrumentation, Electro-optics, Bio-technology, Aerospace, Laser Systems and many other industries. We operate state of the art CNC equipment and produce some very intricate highly toleranced components. We offer a first class working environment in our purpose built 15,000 square feet premises.
Due to further increases in customer orders we are recruiting to add to our current Inspection team.
Main duties:-
Inspection (first off and final inspection) of machined components using conventional metrology equipment and coordinate measuring machines.
Preparation of components for dispatch to customers. This will involve manual finishing (de-burring/polishing) so that components are presented in the right condition to be incorporated in to customers' product.
Maintaining records and following procedures as per the Company's ISO9001 quality system.
Preparation of FAIR reports.
Experience programming and operating an Aberlink CNC CMM would be a distinct advantage.
Requirements:-
Fully experienced in the use of conventional metrology equipment and CNC coordinate measuring machines.
Thorough understanding of engineering drawings including geometrical tolerancing.
Experience of working within an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment and detailed knowledge of calibration systems would be advantageous, particularly instrument calibration experience.
The ideal candidate will have specific experience in a Precision Machining environment, will have a good appreciation of mechanical engineering principles and have a fine eye for detail.
