About the Role



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Quality Inspector

to join our growing team within the ECO4 energy efficiency sector. This

field-based position

involves carrying out quality assurance and compliance inspections on domestic retrofit projects across Wales.

Reporting to the

Operations Director

, you will play a key role in ensuring that insulation, heating, and renewable installations meet PAS 2030:2023 and ECO4 scheme standards.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out on-site quality inspections of installed measures such as but not limited to insulation, heating, renewables carpentry

Verify compliance with necessary standards such as PAS 2030:2023, TrustMark and ECO4.

Review project documentation, including Retrofit Assessments and Installation records, for completeness and accuracy.

Observe installation teams and subcontractors to ensure high standards of workmanship.

Identify areas of non-compliance or defects and provide detailed reports with recommended corrective actions.

Support training and provide feedback to improve installer performance.

Assist with internal audits and contribute to responses for external audits from OFGEM, TrustMark, or scheme providers.

Maintain clear, concise records of inspections, non-conformities, corrective actions, and client feedback.

Ensure Safe Working Practices are being observed.

Travel extensively across Wales to conduct site visits and inspections.

Essential Requirements



Experience in a Quality Assurance, Compliance, or Inspection role in the energy efficiency or construction sector.

Familiarity with ECO4, PAS 2030:2023, and ideally PAS 2035 frameworks.

Understanding of domestic retrofit measures, including loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, IWI/EWI systems, and heating upgrades.

Ability to assess technical documentation and interpret installation specifications.

Strong attention to detail, written communication, and problem-solving skills.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Wales.

Desirable Qualifications



Retrofit Coordinator, Retrofit Assessor, or Retrofit Installer certification. NVQ Level 3 in Construction or relevant technical discipline is advantageous. Knowledge of TrustMark requirements. Experience managing subcontractors or installation teams.
