Based in Newbury, we are a family owned and operated BRC Grade AA ambient food manufacturer of chutneys, condiments, dressings and cooking sauces.

A vacancy has arisen for a full-time permanent Quality Manager to work with the Senior Management Team. You will work with 2 assistants.
The role will be varied and offer the opportunity to participate in the development of the wider business. It is a 'hands on' role involving working within the senior site team which are committed to maintaining and improving the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and customer codes of practices;
Overseeing the management of all aspects of microbiology / chemical sampling of our products and trend analysis;
Ensuring we are BRC compliant at all times;
Supporting the development and implementation of our ongoing training programme.
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong understanding of HACCP, food legislation, BRC V9 and quality hygiene auditing.
The ability to coach and consult team members and colleagues at all organisational levels from plant floor to senior leadership
Project great people management skills.
Experience within the food industry and be ideally educated to degree level, in a food-based science.
Previous experience of internal auditing and liaising with external auditors.
Experience dealing with non-conformities, customer complaints and the writing policies and procedures.
Good knowledge of HSE
