Role Profile:
We are seeking a dynamic
Quality Manager
to lead and coordinate quality control activities across two manufacturing sites
- Reading and Crawley.
The successful candidate will ensure that all products--produced via
injection moulding, extrusion, and assembly
- meet internal standards and lead initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance with ISO standards, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.
As the Quality Manager your responsibilities will include:
Oversee quality control processes including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency.
Manage and analyze product returns, identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions to reduce return rates and improve customer satisfaction.
Ensure proper documentation and root cause analysis for all returns, using tools such as 8D or Fishbone diagrams to drive corrective actions.
Monitor and report on quality KPIs, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Support sustainability goals by managing the disposition of returned products in line with environmental and recycling standards.
Train and support staff on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
Support new product introductions and first-off approvals, ensuring quality is built into every stage
Experience and Skills to be considered:
5-7 years proven experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics or recycled materials.
Demonstrate the ability to lead, train and coach a team, driving morale.
Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
Hands-on knowledge of injection moulding, extrusion, and assembly processes.
Additional certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO Lead Auditor are highly desirable.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
