Role Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for assuring food safety in dry ambient product manufacturing, and the compliance of packaging and suppliers, completing documented risk assessment and assurance to maintain food safety, quality, integrity & legal requirements.

Profile

o You will be experienced in generating QMS processes in a food manufacturing environment, and producing the related procedures, records and analysis schedules to meet food safety, quality and legislation requirements

o Experienced in working to BRCGS and retailer codes of practice, and a key player in third party audits

o Strong technical knowledge of supplier and ingredient assurance and VACCP risk assessment.

o HACCP level 4 & Food Safety Level 4 qualified, with the ability to lead a HACCP team

o Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and generating compliance and KPI reports.

o Experience of working with micro compliance in food production

o Excellent communication skills and a history of completing supplier assurance.

o A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

o Experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment

o HACCP level 4

o Food Safety Level 4

o Lead Auditor

o Supplier Assurance and risk assessment

o Allergen awareness

o Self-motivated with a willingness to learn

o Ability to cope in a busy environment

o Good interpersonal and communication skills

This is a site-based role, and the position will sometimes require a flexible approach to working hours to support factory food safety and quality compliance for product launches and holiday cover
