Coppice is a long-established company specializing in the manufacture and sale of aluminium foil containers. Following our successful acquisition of Sirane, we have added absorbency pads (food based), flexible pouches and cake boards to our portfolio.

Summary

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join our team at our Tonypandy site. This pivotal role will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards, in line with customer and food standard requirements.

This is a permanent full time role, typically working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities

Encompass all areas of quality assurance, health & Safety and environmental aspects associated with the waste management operations of the company Report on any energy, water and oil usage Advise, consult and train all relevant parties within the business including suppliers and others, concerning specific requirements in order to maintain accreditations and continually seeking to improve company performance Identify and develop management systems and procedures that will assist the site in the management of quality, environmental and H&S requirements Periodically audit and report on the management systems, identifying corrective actions if and where necessary Assist with the management of customer complaints and any internal / external recalls promptly Assist with the management of internal non-compliances and actions , to solve any issues and prevent re-occurrence Liaise with customers and suppliers on any specific requests or needs Liaise with QA and production teams to ensure product is being manufactured according to specifications and any deviations are actioned immediately Actively participate in all customer visits and both internal and external site audits Maintain the company pest control system and liaise with off site provider Monitor and develop own and teams skills and knowledge, in line with business needs

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Quality Manager in an FMCG company, preferably with a food or packaging manufacturing background Experience in Management System Standards - ISO14001 / ISO15001 / BRC / Bureau Veritas / SEDEX Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, Food Hygiene Standards and quality assurance methodologies Auditing experience Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively across departments
