Job Description

Purpose



As a Quality Specialist within KONE Major Projects, you will play a key role in assuring quality compliance and driving continuous improvement across complex, high-value project environments. You will use data analysis, inspections, and quality methodologies to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall performance. Working closely with the Quality Manager, you'll support the deployment of KONE's quality strategy and foster a culture of quality excellence throughout the organisation.


Key Responsibilities


Analyse quality performance data to identify trends and prioritise improvement areas. Lead investigations into non-conformances using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis tools. Define, implement, and follow through on corrective and preventive actions to closure. Create and analyse large datasets from multiple platforms to generate actionable insights. Support target setting, performance monitoring, and quality reporting for the Major Projects business. Conduct in-process and product inspections, including sampling, testing, and verification against defined requirements. Maintain and update quality records in line with KONE's procedures and standards. Promote quality awareness by delivering training, sharing best practices, and building capability in quality tools and methods. Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and follow-up actions. Act as a key member of cross-functional quality improvement teams, driving action plans and tracking measurable progress.
Key Skills & Experience


Experience working in KONE Major Projects of other large infrastructure or construction projects is highly desirable. Strong technical background in quality management is essential. Proficient in quality tools, systems, and methodologies (e.g. root cause analysis, 5Why, FMEA, PDCA). Proven experience in data analysis and interpreting large datasets. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead initiatives through to completion. Comfortable working in fast-paced, complex, and changing environments. Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and regulatory compliance is advantageous. Experience supporting or conducting audits (internal or external). High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong communication skills -- both written and verbal. Confident in using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
