We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Quantity Surveying Technician Apprentice
to join our professional team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a rewarding career in construction and glazing estimation, gaining hands-on experience while completing the
Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Level 4 Apprenticeship
.
The role will primarily be office-based, working closely with our experienced surveyors, sales, and installation teams. You will learn to produce accurate quotes, work with CAD systems to measure and cost projects, and communicate with customers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing detailed quotations and cost estimates for windows, doors, and conservatories.
Use CAD software and other digital tools to measure, model, and price up customer projects.
Support the surveyor and sales teams by managing project data and documentation.
Communicate with customers via phone and email to provide updates, gather information, and answer enquiries.
Help prepare tender and contract documents under supervision.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain material prices and ensure competitive quotes.
Maintain accurate project and customer records using our CRM and quoting systems.
Develop a strong understanding of glazing systems, materials, and installation methods.
Learn to identify cost-saving opportunities and support the commercial management of projects.
What We're Looking For:
An interest in construction, architecture, design, or surveying.
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong numeracy and IT skills, with an interest in learning CAD software.
A proactive, organised, and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths (required).
A-Levels or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential.
A valid UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
