Main Purpose of Role
To respond to customer enquiries accurately, professionally and promptly. Responsible for correctly interpreting customer quotation requests and compiling quotations accordingly to the project requirements. Responsible for processing orders through to the order entry department, ensuring all order information is supplied and correct.
Main Responsibilities
Responding to all customer enquiries via telephone and email, to provide information on projects, quotations, product offers, advice on specifications and lead times.
To compile all quotations, interpreting the customer's request and in line with the specification if relevant
Provide product guidance to customers and/or any stakeholders in the specification chain to promote the appropriate use and application of products
Ensure all information is supplied at the order stage, and a contract review form is completed to ensure orders are processed as per customer and specification requirements
Ensure correct use and application of the pricing guidelines for all products at the quotation stage
Ensure that all lead times are adhered to at the order and quotation stage
Liaise with procurement and/or planning regarding lead times
Respond to customer complaints professionally and send to the aftercare team when appropriate
Provide effective support to the external sales team
Pass appropriate technical enquiries to the technical services team
Skills and Attributes
Professional telephone and email manner
IT literate
Organised, systematic and precise
Ability to work under pressure
Able to use own initiative
Desirable
Experience or understanding of a sales environment
Knowledge of the construction Industry
Previously worked within manufacturing
