Our national Real Estate team provides a complete range of legal and advisory services on all aspects of commercial property to an excellent and diverse client base. This role is an opportunity to join an innovative and high performing, busy team in a client facing role. Our focus is on delivering a first class client service. We advise on a broad range of commercial property work including landlord & tenant; sales & purchases; property management; regeneration projects & development agreements and associated construction, planning and funding arrangements. Our clients range from major retailers, leisure operators, regional developers, local authorities, universities and healthcare providers. We have been involved in a range of projects from 100 million city centre regeneration schemes to smaller bespoke ventures. We offer an excellent in house training and development programme.



We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our Real Estate team in Manchester. The successful candidate will work as part of a team providing administrative support to case handlers and secretaries.


Main duties and responsibilities




Assist case handlers and secretaries Open new case files/matters ensuring compliance with Lexcel and internal procedures Prepare and copy various documents such as letters, enclosures, bundles etc Collect and coordinate incoming and outgoing post Perform filing tasks Perform general photocopying & scanning duties Perform general file management duties Prepare and send out various internal and external documents Assist with the inputting of information on various systems Close and archive files Perform other administrative duties as are appropriate Ensure relevant deadlines and quality measures are adhered to Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures Work in accordance with Weightmans' values

About You





Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar role and in a similar environment. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We are also looking for you to have:


Experience in a busy legal/office environment is desirable Have a Law Degree or a LPC (or studying towards) Candidate must be a team player Are able to show initiative and be self-motivated when required to work on own Strong organisational and communication skills You must have the ability to prioritise tasks and your workload Have good housekeeping skills A "hands on" approach to work Knowledge of computers and office equipment You will be working with spreadsheets, Collecting data and producing MI reports A ' will try anything' approach'
