Real Estate (Development) Solicitor | NQ-3 PQE | Leading UK Law Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a highly respected national law firm in its search for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its specialist Housing Development team in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent role offering hybrid working, a supportive culture and the chance to develop your career within one of the UK's leading social housing practices. The Role As a Newly Qualified Solicitor in the Housing Development team, you will: Join a collaborative, purpose-driven group comprising Partners and Lawyers with deep sector expertise. Work closely with a range of Registered Provider clients, including several of the UK's leading housing associations. Advise on high-quality, impactful work such as: o Acquiring s106 affordable housing from developers o Purchasing land for new build schemes o Assisting with site assembly, funding and delivery structures Gain hands-on experience across the full range of development transactions, supported by a team that values learning and growth. About You To succeed in this Housing Development Solicitor role, you will ideally have: 0-3 years' PQE A property seat during your training contract or relevant paralegal experience A genuine interest in housing development, regeneration or broader real estate work Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a desire to make a positive impact in the housing sector This role is perfect for someone eager to build a long-term career in development work while contributing to meaningful social outcomes.
