Orsett Hall is a 4-star hotel and perched on 12 acres of landscaped gardens in the Essex countryside, just 40 minutes outside Central London, and features boutique accommodation, superb dining, elegant function rooms, a gorgeous Chapel and a boutique spa.

THE ROLE

We are currently looking for an experienced full time Reception and Reservations Agent to join our front of house team. The role will involve running the reception desk and being the face of the hotel as the first point of contact when guests arrive. The right candidate will be responsible of providing high level of customer service and hospitality to our guests, as well as liaising efficiently with all other departments in the hotel. Responsibilities will include checking-in and out of guests, taking reservations, handling restaurant bookings and ensuring the smooth running of the reception department.

Good attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and question information received. Basic numeric skills - being able to do basic calculations. Good IT skills The ability to use own initiative and work on your own when needed. The ability to communicate and empathise with a diverse range of individuals. To build and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and customers at all levels. The ability to effectively communicate with guests and employees on all levels; an approachable person with a smile. The ability to be flexible - able to work weekends, late evenings, early mornings and Bank Holidays. Previous experience from similar role in 4-star hotel.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
