Overview

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Receptionist / Front of House team member to join our ambitious team at Michelin Starred Lyla in January 2026. This role is key to ensuring a smooth operation from providing exceptional service to our guests, supporting the General Manager in various managerial tasks as well as being active in the service of the restuarant. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and a willingness to take on many roles across the work week.

Duties

o Manage all restaurant and room bookings via phone, email and online platforms. o Assist guests with large luggage up 3 flights of stairs o Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, special requests, and booking modifications. o Provide detailed information about menus, dining experiences, room types, availability, rates, and policies. o Confirm reservations, arrange special requests and manage waitlists. o Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure a seamless guest experience from inquiry through to arrival. o Coordinate with front-of-house, kitchen, housekeeping, and management team to ensure a smooth operation. o Assist in managing group bookings, private dining reservations, and special events. o Uphold service standards and help across all areas of restaurant FOH set up.

Experience

Previous experience in front of house hospitality required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Familiarity with reservation software and hotel/restaurant management systems. Customer-service oriented with a professional and friendly demeanor. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
