Receptionist in a general medical practice

Full time (35 hours per week)

NHS Pension with 23.2% employer contribution

Duties include



Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and visitors at reception in an efficient and courteous manner.

Answer telephones promptly and politely addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments

Process repeat and acute prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines.

Open, sort and distribute incoming post.

Scanning, faxing, typing and photocopying as required.

Processing referrals and other practice administration as required

Requirements



Previous experience in an office or administrative role Experience in a dealing with members of the public - telephone and face-to-face. GCSEs or equivalent including English Computer-literate including software applications (e.g., MS Office). Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism. A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00 per hour
