At Pennine Referrals, we are a leading veterinary referral practice dedicated to providing the highest level of care for pets in need of specialized treatment. Our team of experienced veterinary professionals is committed to delivering exceptional service, and we are seeking a passionate and dedicated receptionist to join our friendly and dynamic team.

As Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. Your primary role is to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience for our clients while providing administrative support to our veterinary team. You will help create a positive and professional atmosphere that reflects our commitment to quality care and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel welcome and at ease. Answer phone calls and emails promptly, providing information and directing inquiries to the appropriate veterinary team members. Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and coordinate patient arrivals. Maintain accurate patient records and update client information as needed. Process payments, issue invoices, and handle financial transactions in accordance with practice policies. Provide administrative support, including filing, managing communication, and handling medical documentation. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Assist the veterinary team with client communication and follow-up as needed. Stay informed about the services offered by our practice and be ready to answer client questions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting (but not essential). Strong communication skills, with a friendly and professional telephone manner. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in using office software and practice management systems. Empathy and a love for animals, understanding the emotional nature of the work. A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
