We have a full-time Receptionist position available at The Cliff Hotel & Spa, working 32-40 hours per week. The role involves checking guests in and out of the hotel, reconciling daily takings, handling accommodation and restaurant reservations via telephone, email, online platforms, and in person, as well as providing general guest assistance and support to the front-of-house team.
The successful candidate will be guest-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential, as are reliability and a commitment to delivering friendly, efficient service to all guests.
Flexibility is required, as shift start and finish times vary according to the rota. Early shifts typically begin at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m., with others starting mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Finishing times vary, with the latest shifts generally ending around 10:30-11:00 p.m.
Due to the time of year, availability and flexibility over the Christmas and New Year period will be a key requirement for success in this role. The Cliff Hotel & Spa operates throughout the festive season, and team members are expected to support business needs during this busy period.
Previous experience as a Hotel Receptionist is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Due to limited public transport links, access to reliable transport is important.
