We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join our brilliant and hard-working team based within County Stafford UTC on a part time basis.

Totally was established to support the NHS and ensure that patients could quickly access the healthcare they need. We partner with our healthcare commissioners across the UK & Ireland to deliver services that help them manage demand and reduce waiting lists. We deliver services for, Urgent Treatment Centres, NHS 111, GP out of Hours and a National Clinical Assessment Service from our Urgent Care Division.

Weekends: 16:00-00:00

Your day to day\xe2\x80\xa6

As a receptionist you will work with a team of clinical and operational colleagues, supporting in the safe running of our Urgent Care Centre\xe2\x80\x99s projecting a positive and welcoming environment both in person and over the phone.

You will work in conjunction with GP\xe2\x80\x99s and Nursing staff to ensure appointments, bookings and visits are handled consistently and efficiently.

  • Liaise with the Team Leader on duty to ensure all appointment lists are updated daily and extract medical records as appropriate
  • Liaise with patients, hospitals and chemists as requested by GPs and Nurses
  • Ensure the waiting and reception areas are kept tidy
  • Ensure effective communications exists between the sites and staff, regularly updating the Team Leader of any issues
  • To answer all incoming telephone calls in a timely fashion. Diverting them as appropriate, and/or taking and passing on messages
  • Greeting patients at reception, noting their arrival time
  • Observe the waiting room, in the event a patients condition deteriorates refer to the Reception Guide and take appropriate action
  • Any other duties as requested by the Team Leader
Qualifications, Experience & Training\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are essential
