We have a vacancy for a Reception Team Member. The role will manage the day-to-day delivery of the customer experience by being the customers first interaction. Managing the flow of people around the hotel and conference centre by providing clear information and guidance. Driving sales in line with the sales strategy to support the growth of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure 60% of booking enquiries convert to direct bookings.
Delivery of a professional greeting of clients and visitors to the highest standards expected in line with DCC strategy.
Building a good rapport with all guests and resolving any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service.
Showing a willingness to be flexible assisting other departments within the hotel, as the needs of the business dictate with the aim of providing the best possible service to guests.
Maximizing revenue by means of upselling.
Ensure that all guests receive an efficient and correct check in and that all procedures are followed.
Managing guest information in line with GDPR Policy.
Accurately and efficiently managing accounts and guest billing processes.
Ensuring the reception area is always clean and tidy
Undertaking general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing, and switchboard to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
Being fully conversant with the maintenance fault reporting system; reporting maintenance issues immediately.
Being fully conversant with the DCC Vision, Mission, Values and Guiding Principles, ensuring adherence during all areas of operation.
Comply with Company Health and Safety Policies and duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act etc. 1974.
Enforce Company policies and procedures for ensuring the Health, Safety and Welfare of all persons connected with the site, meeting relevant legal requirements.
Assist, on an annual basis, review of Risk Assessments for all equipment within the department.
Notify management of any situation, which may compromise Food Hygiene and Safety.
Report to management any fault or hazard which may affect Health and Safety.
Ensure statutory training is delivered and kept in date.
The DCC is a very fast paced, busy environment so ideally require someone with experience of working in the hotel/hospitality industry. Must have excellent customer service/communication skills, time management, positive outlook, team player, problem solver, attention to detail, flexible and who remains calm under pressure.
Will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days per week between 0700 and 2300 hours.
