This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. As the first point of contact for the Devizes Health Centre, the impression you create will be lasting. You will be the first to assist our patients with their enquiries, helping to create a positive experience for all visitors to the Health Centre.
Commencing early January 2026, this is a part-time, temporary position, to cover maternity leave. The hours of work are 11.5 hours per week; 4.30pm - 6.30pm daily, Monday to Friday, with extended hours on a Tuesday 4.30pm - 8.00pm. A job share arrangement may also be considered (2-3 days per week).
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a receptionist role. General Practice and TPP SystmOne experience would be a bonus, but full training and induction will be given. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be customer focussed and have practical experience of working with members of the public in a customer facing/customer service environment. You must be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Any potential candidate must be able to work autonomously, and make decisions using own judgement and initiative. You will be organised, self-motivated, with a can-do approach to your work. The job is varied and you will be required to multi-task and be willing to take on addition responsibilities as the role evolves to meet the needs of the business.
