We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various software applications.

Thursday 12.30 - 18.30
Friday 8am - 18.30

Duties
Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Answer and direct phone calls with excellent phone etiquette.
Manage incoming correspondence, including emails and postal mail.
To be responsible for dealing with telephone enquiries from patients and outside agencies within the capabilities of the individual receptionist and as directed by the Practice Manager or Doctor concerned.
To receive requests from patients for home visits, ensuring these are noted correctly and the appropriate patient records are available for the doctor.
To assist in running the appointment system and to be responsible for the reception area and direction of patients.
To assist in the processing of repeat prescriptions as per the agreed protocol.
To be responsible for routine clerical duties as necessary, such as completion of routine Primary Care Agency forms, filing and preparing records for surgeries and maintaining them in good order.
To assist with the clerical work involved in the registration of patients and advising them of the available practice services.
To undertake simple nursing duties such as the weighing of patients, measuring height and urine testing.
Pulling notes for surgeries and update as necessary
To be responsible for general security and housekeeping duties when necessary, including changing the sheets on the doctors' couches, locking up the premises at night and opening up in the morning.
To assist in providing leave cover for other receptionists when necessary and as agreed by the Head Receptionist.
Photocopying and Faxing information to hospitals and other outside agencies.
Processing the internal and external results and mail
Process patients change of address - computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice are)
Have working knowledge of telephones, during and after hours.
Assisting the practice in all types of administration ( EDT, Scanning, Prescriptions etc.)
Other Tasks
Clear waiting room after surgeries
Ensure building security - have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm.
Any other tasks allocated by managers
