Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 4.15pm (4 days) & 08.15-15.45 (1 day) including 30 minutes unpaid for lunch (37 hours), Term Time only.
Salary: Support Staff Scale C1-C5 DOE 20,446 - 21,353 pa (24,386 - 25,468 fte)
We are looking for an experienced and welcoming receptionist to join our team and provide a positive experience to all visitors of Ringwood School. As a busy and dynamic environment, we require a team member who can communicate clearly, confidently and calmly with staff, students and parents.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with an excellent telephone etiquette. We are looking for a colleague who enjoys working with young people and has a caring, supportive nature. They will be a reliable team player, who can also work independently and manage their time effectively. Reception Duties:
Greet all visitors in a professional and friendly manner within a busy reception environment
Handle enquiries both in person and over the phone, ensuring a welcoming and helpful approach
Ensure the safety of staff and students by managing secure access to the school through our access control systems
Maintain the visitor sign-in and sign-out process, ensuring compliance at all times
Frank, sort, and distribute mail and parcels around the school
Update and maintain student records within our Management Information System (Arbor), including tracking student absences and late arrivals
Organise and manage lost property, ensuring items are efficiently redistributed
Oversee the sales of pre-loved uniforms and student provisions through our online store
Manage ticket sales for events held at 'The Barn,' addressing general enquiries from ticket holders and potential hirers
Provide administrative cover across the Academy as required
First Aid Duties:
Complete first aid training and maintain up-to-date certification
Support the team by managing first aid enquiries in a sensitive and efficient manner, ensuring all incidents are logged and appropriate actions taken
Contact parents or carers when necessary to arrange collection of sick or injured students
Administer medication to students as required, following parental or carer instructions
Ideal Candidate:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent telephone etiquette and clear communication skills.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, meeting tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
