If you are looking for a part time post and want to be part of our small friendly team, this role may be ideal for you as we can provide you with good experience of an administrative and public facing role and also opportunities to learn new skills. Full training will be provided and we are always keen to develop our staff by providing training opportunities - such as in dispensing/health care assistant.
We have a vacancy which has arisen due to other members of our team training in other areas and also to provide additional hours to manage our increased workload. The days and hours are likely to be -
Wednesday - 8am -6.30pm
Thursday - 8 - 5pm
Friday - 8 - 5pm
You will be working alongside other care navigators and full training will be provided. Part of your role will be training to support the dispensary team as a counter assistant giving out medication, receiving requests and assisting with orders and stocking. We can offer you the opportunity to train in the dispensary leading to an NVQ2 should that be of interest. Other opportunities include training in skills such as phlebotomy.
The post will therefore usually be 28hrs per week but additional hours are always available to cover staff leave and so longer hours are usually available. We may be able to offer some flexibility and consider slightly shorter working days however you must be able to start at 8am and/or finish at 6.30pm when required to cover.
As a Care Navigator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients either face to face on the phone or via email and you will also be required to carry out various administrative tasks such as prescription administration and task management relaying information back to patients from the GP. The successful applicant will have good communication and people skills, be a strong and flexible team player, have good attention to detail, be computer literate and able to work on their own initiative.
