We are inviting internal applications for an opportunity to join the Reception team at our Turnchapel site working over a 4 week rota:


Week 1: Friday - 08:30 to 17:00 (8 hours)


Week 2: Saturday & Sunday - 09:00 to 17:00 (15 hours)


Week 3: Wednesday - 08:30 to 17:00 (8 hours)


Week 4: No shifts (0 hours)


Subject to change as business needs alter

Role Overview:

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the Hospice. Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting and welcoming all visitors Answering and directing incoming calls via the switchboard Taking accurate messages and handling incoming and outgoing post Supporting the wider Reception team in creating a positive and compassionate experience

You'll play a vital role in ensuring that the Hospice's values are upheld through a friendly and respectful environment for patients, families, staff, and volunteers.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrates strong organisational abilities and attention to detail Can remain calm and professional under pressure Has a confident and courteous telephone manner
