Gough & Kelly are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Receptionist to join our team in Leeds. In this pivotal front-of-house role, you'll be the first point of contact.
About the Role:
As the first point of contact for all visitors and callers, the Receptionist plays a key role in upholding the professional image. Acting as a true ambassador for the company, you will deliver a warm, professional welcome and provide a consistently high standard of customer service to both internal teams and external guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and direct all visitors in a professional, warm, and friendly manner
Manage the front desk, acting as the initial point of contact for guests and callers
Answer and transfer telephone calls, take messages, and respond to enquiries
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Maintain a clean, organised, and presentable reception area
Support general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
Assist with appointment scheduling and diary management
Operate visitor management systems accurately and efficiently
Provide support with basic facilities issues by liaising with maintenance or IT as needed
Promote and maintain a safe working environment
Follow all existing company procedures and policies
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by G&K or our client
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a motivated and dependable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both structure and flexibility to their role. The ideal candidate will be confident, well-organised, and committed to delivering excellent service at all times.
Essential Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a receptionist
At least 1 year of customer service experience (face-to-face, by phone, or via email)
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internal databases
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication
A positive, professional attitude
Punctual, reliable, and well-presented
Able to work independently and as part of a team
