Job Purpose
The Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, donors, and patients, helping to create a calm and efficient experience for everyone who enters the clinic. In addition, the role provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the intercom and access system to greet and admit donors and visitors ?
Answer and direct incoming calls and respond to general email enquiries
Provide patients and donors with appropriate forms and information
Maintain a tidy and professional front desk and waiting area
Support the wider team with routine administrative tasks as needed
Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information in line with GDPR and clinic policies
Assist in scheduling and coordination of appointments, if required
Contribute to the smooth running of the clinic through flexibility and a team-focused approach Skills and Knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
Experience with electronic medical records or Salesforce is highly desirable
Familiarity with clinical or healthcare settings is advantageous
Qualifications
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Additional qualifications in administration, healthcare, or customer service are desirable
On-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate
