Job brief



We are looking for a committed Receptionist to complement our qualified workforce of educators, support officers and managers. You will be responsible for providing a first-class clerical/administrative/secretarial/PA/student support service to the Directors, Teachers, Heads of Pathways, staff and students within the University Foundation Programme (UFP) department.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the job with an ability to reach out to stakeholders and form relationships of mutual trust. As the role is based within a further education institution, there will be context specific duties including but not limited to, monitoring attendance, organising student records etc.

The goal is to help cultivate an organised and efficient office environment. Your primary duties include greeting students, parents and clients when they arrive, managing appointments, providing direction and assistance and answering phone calls in a helpful manner.

Responsibilities



Support colleagues within Curriculum Administration, Student and Academic Support Services and the wider college.

Provide a high level of customer service to all service users.

Act as a point of contact for departmental enquires from external and internal customers.

Support the Senior Management Team with internal and external communications

Requirements



Thorough knowledge of administrative best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures

Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills

Organised and committed to providing a welcoming and profession first-point of contact to all current members of staff, students and their families, as well as visitors to the College

Creative and energetic

Strong moral values and discipline

A demonstrable efficiency with the Office 365 Suite of applications

. Educated to an undergraduate degree level.
