Hours of work:
Part Time role over 5 days during practice opening hours; however, post holder will be expected to be flexible in line with the responsibility to the role
Salary Range:
10k - 17k negotiable depending on experience

Job Purpose:
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or health care professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way and undertake administrative duties when not following the receptionist role.
Main Objectives of the Post:
Your regular duties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face and electronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community.
Professional Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of the reception administration role, 'front desk' reception duties, ensure completion of clinical tasks
Oversee the appointment system daily with the management of e consults/ enquires and practice emails
Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures
Carry out tasks relating to patient records, including filing, document management and ensuring patients can access reports, prescriptions and that they are easily accessible.
Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying, and scanning
Scan all documents on to the relevant patients record and then store the documents in line with surgery procedures.
Perform any other relevant and reasonable duties that may be requested by the Practice Manager or Partners.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a methodical way

Ability to build and maintain good, supportive working relationships
Ability to work flexibly and productively as part of a team
Ability to prioritise work effectively to manage multiple demands
Adaptable to the changing needs of general practice
Desirable
Experience of working within the NHS or in a healthcare setting in an administrative role is desirable but not essential
