Priory Hospital Avesbury Houseis looking to recruit a Receptionist to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37 hours. The working hours are from Thursday & Friday 09.00 - 20:00, Saturday & Sunday 10:00 - 18:00.



Located near picturesque national parkland, Priory Hospital Avesbury House in Edmonton, North London, is a forensic low secure facility for men with mental health needs, who require continuing care and treatment. We have 24 beds which are fully funded by Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Trust (BEH) and specifically by the regional secure unit at Chase Farm Hospital.

What you'll be doing





You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.Greets and assists all arrivals promptly at the Priory unit, and ensures that they are treated in a courteous, pleasant and efficient manner, and directed accordingly. Ensures that all telephone calls into main reception / switchboard are dealt with promptly and efficiently within Priory operational standards. Carries out administrative tasks as required. Ensures the appropriate security passes are issued, as well as then directing the visitor to the appropriate areas or individuals within the unit.

What you'll bring to the role

The role requires an NVQ Level 1 in a relevant area or GCSEs (or equivalent), along with experience gained within a customer-facing environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as the problems faced by patients can present difficult and challenging situations, increasing the sensory and emotional demands of the role.
