Vacancy: Receptionist - full time or part time (9.5-38 hours per week)
12.60/hour (24,897.60 per annum pro rata)
Our independent, multi-award winning, triple Living Wage Foundation accredited, cat-only vet practice has a rare opportunity for a receptionist to join our friendly team.
We are happy to consider full-time or part-time candidates for this position and although our preference is for candidates to work compressed hours (1, 2, 3 or 4 days 8.30am-6.30pm or 9.30am-7.30pm), we could consider other shift patterns for the right candidate.
Duties
Front of house - managing the diary, taking payments, taking telephone calls, answering emails and social media messages
Maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the reception, consulting rooms and staff room
Dispensing medications and re-ordering pharmacy stock
Monitoring & collating client feedback
Administration of the healthy cat plan
Helping with the practice social media accounts

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Organisation and multitasking skills

A love of cats and desire to provide outstanding customer care to their owners
Desirable criteria for applicants
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a veterinary practice but we will consider candidates without this experience if they have excellent customer service skills and "cattitude".
If part-time, the ability to do ad-hoc additional cover for holidays etc is desirable but not essential.
