Scottish Veterans' Residences (SVR), Scotland's oldest military charity. We support former Armed Forces and Merchant Navy personnel who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or who otherwise need housing support.

We are recruiting a Receptionist to join the Team in our 83-room residence at Whitefoord House. Located at the foot of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh,

This is a temporary Part Time post (18 hours/week) available from mid-august 2025 to cover 9 months maternity leave Wednesday to Friday 07:00 - 13:00. This post is subject to PVG check.

Whitefoord House offers a dynamic housing support service to assist our Veterans to return to independent living where appropriate. We seek to maximise their independence and provide support to move on to appropriate, permanent accommodation wherever possible. Veterans have their own fully furnished en-suite room and access to all the facilities and support on site. Our facilities include a modern dining room providing all our residents with meals, as well as a gym, community library & and laundry services.

ABOUT YOU

Motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic, you will be responsible for the provision of reception within the Whitefoord House campus providing an efficient and professional service to Scottish Veterans' Residences service users, external agencies and staff.

With previous experience working with in reception or in a front line role. Ideally you will also have an understanding of the supported housing sector and be able to demonstrate a track record of contributing to high quality services. You are reliable, consistent, focused, and flexible in both your outlook and approach.

In return, we offer an excellent salary of 12,994.11 per annum, plus additional benefits
