Job Title: Receptionist



Location: Stewart Park Campus, Middlesbrough



Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed Term



Salary: 12.34 per hour



About Role:



We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team at our Middlesbrough Campus, set in the beautiful grounds of Stewart Park.

The post will require you to Work alternative weekends in a dual-purpose facility. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact on the reception desk of Askham Bryan College, Middlesbrough Campus, which is located in Stewart Park's Visitor Centre/gift shop.

Reporting to the Campus Operations Manager, responsibilities include dealing with customer queries both face to face and via telephone, taking payment for gift shop purchases etc., room bookings, key holding, restocking the gift shop and ensuring the visitor centre remains clean and tidy.

Applicants should have at least a L2 in English & L2 maths or equivalent, be proficient in IT and confident using Microsoft Office. You will have experience in a customer facing role, hold excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Welcome visitors and assist students at reception in a professional, friendly manner. Manage the switchboard and direct calls appropriately. Use Microsoft Office for administrative tasks, including handling post and maintaining stationery supplies. Ensure safeguarding standards through proper visitor management. Support college staff and departments as needed, maintaining general knowledge of college services.
