We are seeking a motivated, professional, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a
Receptionist and Qualified Dental Nurse
. This dual role offers a varied and rewarding opportunity to combine clinical support with front-of-house responsibilities, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of our practice.
Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
Reception / Administrative Duties:
Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional reception service for all patients.
Manage appointment bookings, recalls, and cancellations efficiently using our dental and patient management software.
Handle telephone, email and in-person enquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.
Process payments, maintain accurate records, and assist with patient correspondence.
Maintain accurate patient records and support compliance with GDPR and confidentiality policies.
Dental Nursing Duties:
Assist clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring optimal chairside support.
Prepare surgeries before and after each patient, maintaining strict cross-infection control and sterilisation protocols.
Ensure equipment and materials are available and maintained to the highest standards.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively.
Support clinical audits, stock control, and compliance with CQC regulations.
Provide high quality, friendly and compassionate patient care
Communicate effectively with patients, providing information on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualities and Experience
GDC-registered and fully qualified Dental Nurse.
Previous experience in a private or mixed dental practice is preferred.
Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills.
A friendly, professional manner with a genuine focus on patient care.
Confident using dental software (e.g. SOE/Exact or similar).
Flexible and adaptable team player, able to prioritise effectively.
