To provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff, and visitors, while carrying out a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House Duties
Greet visitors, parents, and pupils in a polite and professional manner.
Manage the school's reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and organised.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and respond to enquiries.
Monitor access to the school, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed (signing in/out, issuing visitor badges).
Administration
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and correspondence.
Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases.
Support with typing, photocopying, scanning, and other general office tasks.
Assist with the preparation of letters, reports, and other school communications.
Support the organisation of meetings, appointments, and school events.
Pupil & Parent Support
Deal with queries from parents and carers, escalating where necessary.
Provide pupils with assistance (e.g., first point of contact for minor issues, contacting home if needed).
Support with attendance registers and pupil absence recording if required.
Other
Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times.
Undertake training as required to support the role.
Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by school leadership.
