What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Provide a warm welcome to all visitors and maintain the reception area of the school in good order, ensuring the area is clean and tidy at all times.
Answer all incoming telephone calls, dealing with queries where applicable and passing them on to others where appropriate.
Contact pupils as requested by parents/carers and school staff.
Open the incoming mail and distribute via staff pigeon holes.
Ensure that an up to date prospectus, curriculum outline and other relevant documentation (i.e Health & Safety) is available at all times in the reception area.
Ensure visitors to the school have a legitimate reason for being on the premises and call for back up if uncertain.
Input data onto the SIMS system as requested.
Be aware of fire alarm arrangements and notify visitors of procedure as necessary.
Assist with hospitality arrangements for the school.
Provide administrative/clerical support.
To undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade as and when required by SLT.
To support the school directly and/or indirectly in the fulfilment of its Catholic mission, and to identify with our Catholic/Christian ethos and behavioural standards.
