Rowberry Morris is seeking a Receptionist to join our team at our Staines office. This role ensures the front-of-house runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and highly organised, with strong administrative skills and previous experience in a busy office environment.

Key Responsibilities



Reception Duties:



Ensure the reception area is always manned. Maintain a tidy and professional front desk. Greet clients and visitors, providing a welcoming and efficient service.

Switchboard & Client Communication:



Answer and direct incoming calls, taking clear and informative messages when needed. Provide assistance to clients in person and over the phone, ensuring inquiries are handled professionally.

Appointments & Mail Handling:



Schedule appointments for lawyers and paralegals using the central office calendar. Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages. Assist with franking outgoing mail and making post office visits (training available).

Archiving & File Management:



Maintain and update the office archive spreadsheet. Request files from storage, ensuring they are received and returned in a timely manner. Work with the Practice Manager on archiving projects.

Administrative Support:



Assist other departments with file opening and additional administrative tasks as required. Handle general office duties such as copying, filing, typing, and scanning documents. Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.

Skills & Experience Required:



Proficiency in Windows-based IT systems. Strong communication skills (phone, email and written). Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload. A collaborative team player, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels. Applicants must live within a 30-minute commute of Reading to be considered. Previous administration and receptionist experience essential.
