About the Role

Thorpe Surgery in Thorpe-le-Soken, is looking to recruit a receptionist/care navigator to join our team on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 6.30 pm, across our 2 practices, Thorpe and Kirby Surgeries. Shifts can be discussed at interview.



You will be working in a very busy and quite often demanding environment carrying out the following duties:
Answering telephone calls. Making appointments. Meeting and greeting patients. Navigating patients and outside agencies to appropriate members of staff or services. Scanning letters. General administration.

About the Candidate

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:


Excellent communication and organisational skills. Be able to work under pressure (essential). Possess a good telephone manner. Previous experience of working in primary care and knowledge of EMIS web would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Flexibility is a priority to cover additional hours during holiday/sickness absence of colleagues to keep the surgery running efficiently. ###
