Priory Burston House is looking to recruit a Workforce Coordinator to join the team. This is a part time 15 hours role.


Priory Burston House, located in the historic market town of Diss, near the border of Suffolk, provides level 2 rehabilitation for male patients with a learning disability. Across rehabilitation and low secure care, our specialist learning disability service also cares for adults who may have complex mental health needs, including autism and personality disorders.

What you'll be doing





You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.The role will be fully accountable for ensuring that the Priory internal rostering system is updated for all the wards in the hospital, this will include Liaising with Ward Managers to ensure permanent employees are rostered a minimum of 8-12 weeks in advance including appropriate planning for holiday and training in line with the ward staffing ladders Will seek to fill vacancies in the shifts with overtime and bank in the first instance Will be the liaison for site for temporary agencies to fill vacant shifts when all other avenues have been exhausted

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of general education, with GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, and be competent in the use of software, including Microsoft Office. They will demonstrate a high standard of written and verbal communication skills and be able to respond effectively to time-critical situations. Strong administrative abilities, such as accurate note-taking, combined with excellent time management and organisational skills, will enable them to prioritise and multi-task efficiently. They should be confident in challenging more senior colleagues when appropriate, as well as asking for help when needed. A proactive, self-starting approach, coupled with the ability to use initiative, is essential, as is attention to detail and a positive response to a demanding, varied, and time-sensitive role. The candidate must be capable of dealing with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment. While experience in roster management and within healthcare is desirable, it is not essential. Previous experience of working in a standalone role, particularly in a fast-paced and changing environment, and the ability to manage their own workload effectively, will be highly beneficial.
