We have a permanent 15 hour per week contract to be worked Monday and Tuesday with flexibility to change a workday as and when required to support recruitment events.


This is an opportunity to join the recruitment team at North Wales Police who are responsible for recruiting and on-boarding Police Officers, Police Staff, Special Constables and volunteers.


Our recruitment department is a hive of activity, and our recruiters are the first point of contact for potential candidates, hiring managers and colleagues. The ideal candidate thrives on providing a quality recruitment service and supporting candidates through their recruitment journey, is continuously looking for ways to improve the candidate experience, considering new ways to attract talent and working with others to ensure processes are efficient and effective. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change.


You will be organised and able to work to deadlines, have an eye for detail and be happy working on your own or as part of the team. You will also enjoy building relationships with colleagues and candidates.


Duties will include, but not be limited to;

Being aware and abreast of recruiting trends and best practices Organising and managing the interview, selection and closing process Screening, hiring and selection in accordance with employment law and regulations Recruitment records are updated, accurate, maintained & secure Co-ordinating appointments and attendance of candidates Dealing efficiently with internal and external enquiries Administration duties throughout the candidate experience Representing the Recruitment team, promoting career opportunities at internal and external events, both face to face and online Conducting biometrics and fingerprint checks with candidates

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, has excellent organisational skills and is an effective communicator with experience of dealing with people at all levels.


You should have recruitment experience where you've dealt with candidates, the process and ideally used an applicant tracking system.


We would want you to be comfortable making decisions independently and be proficient in Microsoft Office with previous experience of providing general administrative support and the ability to prioritise work and manage time efficiently.


You should have a positive approach and continuous improvement ethos and enjoy change.

MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:




The role requires applicants who can demonstrate (with evidence) skills in the following areas:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject area e.g. Recruitment, Business Administration, Customer Service, or be able to evidence an equivalent and relevant amount of experience. Working knowledge of HR or data input systems. Previous experience of co-ordinating appointments and meetings. Possess and be able to evidence excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience of dealing with people at all levels, internally and externally. Proficient in Microsoft office. Previous experience of providing general administrative support within an organisation. Be able to work as part of a team or independently using own initiative. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, responding positively under pressure. Evidence of the ability to pay close attention to detail.

DESIRABLE:



A minimum of 12 months recruitment experience in an organisation managing large volume campaigns is desirable but not essential Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HR systems and be familiar with sourcing avenues is desirable but not essential.
