Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Administrator to join our growing team. You will be responsible for supporting the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compliant recruitment process in line with safer recruitment practices in healthcare.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support throughout the recruitment process.
Post vacancies on relevant platforms (e.g. NHS Jobs, internal portals).
Schedule interviews and liaise with candidates and hiring managers.
Support shortlisting processes and applicant communications.
Process pre-employment checks including DBS, references, and right-to-work verifications.
Prepare and issue offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate recruitment records and reports.
Support the induction and onboarding of new employees.
Uphold high standards of confidentiality and data protection throughout all recruitment activities.
Monitor and manage recruitment inboxes and respond to candidate queries promptly.
Assist with recruitment-related projects and audits as required.
Qualifications and Training
Essential:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths.
Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable:
CIPD Level 3 qualification or working toward it.
Training in safer recruitment practices.
Experience
Essential:
Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment.
Experience coordinating recruitment or onboarding processes.
Experience managing confidential data.
Desirable:
Experience working in a healthcare or NHS setting.
Experience using NHS Jobs, Trac, or other applicant tracking systems.
Familiarity with DBS and right-to-work checks.
Knowledge
Essential:
Understanding of general recruitment processes.
Basic knowledge of employment legislation and data protection.
Awareness of the importance of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.
Desirable:
Knowledge of NHS terms and conditions and recruitment policies.
Understanding of equal opportunities and diversity in recruitment.
Skills and Abilities
Essential:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Desirable:
Ability to use HR software and digital document management systems.
Confidence in liaising with multiple stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and external candidates.
